The retail experience
Samsung asked us to create a retail experience to debut their new smart speaker in stores across the world. The challenge was to make sure it wasn’t just another footnote in the crowded world of digital home assistants.
As the GCD lead on the project, we decided on an elevated and modern customer journey that would feel aspirational yet sensible. I helped drive the high-level concepting, storyboarding and demos, user flows, wireframes and UI/visual design to bring this experience to life.
The results were refined featured demos, visually enticing device specs, music exploration, an attractor loop, and most importantly, a smart speaker with a SmartThings hub built into it that was an active participant throughout the in-store experience.

With these types of experiences you need to not only captivate the audience but primarily educate them. We spent time concepting and storyboarding flows and then turned our concept to videos. The challenge was not just how to tell the story but also did the user understand the feature clearly.
